Yesterday I went to my general doc because the night before I had really bad vertigo. It woke me up and made me nauseous every time I changed positions in bed. Even when I was awake the dizziness was out of control and I couldn't see straight. When I wake up at night I watch tv, but Wed when I woke up and tried to read the guide on the tv I couldn't read it. I was seeing triple of everything. Now, some of my friends that are drinkers have always said aim for the middle oblect when you see double so I tried that. Apparently the aim for the middle is only in getting your key in the door and not for reading because it didn't work. Here is a link to what I was diagnosed with
It is a viral infection of the inner part of the ear. Unfortunately it takes weeks to go away and the meds to control it conflict with some of the meds post surgery so I am not sure if I can donate blood to myself now. I may just deal with the vertigo so i can donate blood, but I don't kow. I am supposed to call the doc today so I will ask about the drug interactions then.
Other than my ears, I am ready for surgery. I picked up my recliner yesterday, I have a mini fridge for my bedroom coming, and my supply storage is done. I do my pre-op visit on Jan. 5th so I am getting so close to getting this done. Well, that is all of the news. I will post again if I hear something about what I can and can't do on these meds.
