Not a Good Pain Day, 19 days until Surgery

So, today has not been a good day. We have had a lot of snow in the last week so I had to snowblow the driveway. I am not sure I should be doing it only 6 months post op and not quite 3 weeks pre op but it had to be done. I think another storm is rolling in so that may be where the pain is coming from. I was planning on going to Alta to ski tomorrow, but I may skip it if my hip doesn't feel better. I just did an hour on the elliptical and that actually seemed to help my hip feel better. I ams till 5 pounds from my goal weight leading into surgery so I have been working hard. Unfortunately, I have also been eating more to try to get my blood up so I can give blood again on mOnday. I don't want to be rejected and have to reschedule. Becasue of the working out, the eating hasn't had much effect except to make my weight hold steady. I have been at the same weight for almost 2 weeks now so it is frustrating. After Monday I can go back to my dieting and try to lose the last five pounds. Other than that, there is not much going on. I just counted and I only have 10 more days of work until I am out, and two of those are half days for the new year holiday. Also, one of those days I will be at Snowbird skiing so I don't know if that counts. I can't believe how fast this is all coming up.

You think you're ready, right? And then a day like this comes along and you think, "Holy s*~t, what on earth am I doing?"
I'm sorry about your pain. I'm just writing, since I know that you push yourself too hard, to recommend that you slow down. You're not going into the second one as strong as the first, and you need to take care of yourself. Sounds like you're definitely trying, just don't try too hard! Hope the next weeks go by smoothly. Take care.
